For Veterans

Honoring America’s veterans at the highest level

According to recent census data, more than 750,000 military veterans reside in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties (CA LAO Report ). They served their country proudly in times of war and peace, at home and abroad and we are honored to now serve them.

Kara Health and it’s affiliated organizations has had the honor of providing homecare services for thousands of veterans throughout Southern California. We also have dedicated liaisons that work with local VA Medical Centers to ensure veterans that are hospitalized get discharged home safely and with Kara’s hospice care.

We also understand the complex nature of caring for our veterans. Kara’s clinical care teams have undergone specific training that helps them identify and deal with issues that are unique to those who have provided military service. For some veterans, the psychological effects of combat can remain dormant for years, only to re-emerge when they are facing their own mortality. Others may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI).Treatment in all of these cases requires special sensitivity and Kara’s clinical team of physicians, nurses and social workers are prepared to identify those needs and recommend specific courses of action.
